I was born, brought up and trained in the United Kingdom and Australia.
After obtaining my Medical Degree and a 1st Class Degree in Pathological Sciences, I completed my general postgraduate medical and surgical training in the North of England. I then decided to pursue a specialist career in Ophthalmology. I spent the next 8 years training and working in Ophthalmology departments in the South West, Yorkshire and North East of England.
I was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (London) and then admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (London). After this I decided to subspecialise further in the field of Retinal Disease and its medical and surgical management and spent time in UK, Australia and, Germany to undertake further training.
I am currently a practising ophthalmologist in Adelaide and South Australia and have been admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. I offer premium eye surgery, including cataract surgery and vitreoretinal surgery in Adelaide at a number of different sites.
I am also on the Specialist Register in the UK and, a member of The American Academy of Ophthalmology.
I am active in clinical research and teaching of junior ophthalmologists and medical students at Flinders University and, Flinders Medical Centre. I have also served as an external examiner for the MOphth program in Malaysia.
I currently hold the positions of Senior Consultant at Flinders Medical Centre, Director of Training at Flinders Medical Centre and a Director/Partnerof EyeMedics Ophthalmologists.
In my spare time I am an enthusiastic mountain biker and audiophile.
